Between 2004 and 2016 my roles supporting people in drug rehabs, prisons and housing schemes gave me valuable experience and insight to human behaviour. During this time I witnessed people battling with anger, conflict, frustration; "mental health issues" such as anxiety and depression; and patterns of behaviour they did not consciously choose or understand such as addiction and compulsions. I began to understand the degree to which our thoughts and actions are driven by emotion. I was privileged to witness the profound changes possible when we begin to recognise, listen to and make peace with our emotions.
In 2013 it seemed a natural step to qualify as a counsellor in order that I could work with people in more depth. I qualified in 2015 and went into private practice, gaining my advanced qualification in early 2016.
I am passionate about emotional awareness and development. Our emotions exist to guide us and keep us safe and, when properly harnessed, they can be the key to easing suffering and enabling us to thrive, each in our own unique way.

I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and hypnotherapist. I am accredited with The National Counselling Society, abide by their Code of Ethics and engage in regular supervision and continuing personal and professional development.
My counselling style is integrative, allowing me to tailor sessions to your individual needs.

Who am I?
My name is Tina Fair and I live and work in rural North Norfolk. As well as being a counsellor I have also experienced counselling for myself and am aware of how daunting a prospect it can be (I still remember that first session!) but rather than raking over what is "wrong" with us, counselling is often about connecting with all that is "right" with us. As we come to understand ourselves better and recognize our own resources, our confidence and self esteem grows and our quality of life improves.
